Who am I?

Seeking counselling or Therapy is a big step, and a rewarding one. It is an opportunity to take the time to focus on our inner world, goals, and challenges. Many issues that we could cope with when living at home, surrounded by familiar faces and landscapes, can become more pressing when living overseas.

I am a French and English bilingual Counsellor. I lived in England for over 10 years and I am married to an English man. I therefore understand the unique pressures and benefits that are a part of expat life.

I am an Accredited Member of the French Association of Couple and Family Counsellors (ANCCEF) and I have been trained by two Schools (Couples & Familles and CLER Amour & Famille) in order to  work with the dynamics of relationships for individuals, couples and families.

I am also trained as an Emotionally Focused Therapy  (EFT) Therapist

What  is EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy)?

EFT is a structured approach therapy formulated in the 1980’s and which has developed alongside the science on adult attachment and bonding to expand our understanding about what is happening in couple relationships. EFT is also used with families and individuals. . Research studies find that 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.

The major contraindication for EFT is on-going abuse in the relationship.

EFT is being used with many different kinds of couples in private practice, university training centres and hospital clinics and many different cultural groups throughout the world. These distressed couples include partners suffering from disorders such as depression, post traumatic stress disorders and chronic illness.
